We are dedicated to providing reliable multi-mode communications during emergencies, disasters, and public events.
Our mission is to expand our leadership and organizational infrastructure to assist and serve our community by providing communications assistance to emergency management agencies and public service agencies.
Our vision is to be a group of highly skilled amateur radio operators, recognized as an effective and reliable organization that is capable of providing multi-mode communications for served agencies during emergencies, disasters and public events.
VWS proudly contributes to the following local events:

We have established formal partnerships and aim to expand our participation in several key emergency preparedness sectors.

Established Memorandum of Understanding with the Fairfax County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES).
We are working to increase participation in Fairfax County Emergency Operations, AUXCOM (AUX-C), MARS (US Army Military Auxiliary Radio Service), and CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams).
